Joe continues to make town reads with no backing, which is is not inherently bad, but pairs poorly with his previously demonstrated commitment to doing Fuck All to advance the game for town (i.e., onboarding others to his reads, interrogating the reads of players who may be said to be in disagreement with his reads, or weighing in on the many many things that other players have contributed to this game). 

I will now engage in conjecture, which I will give in a separate post, as I am thoroughly committed to reaching page 20 before phase end and, indeed, breaking 82 pages before game end.

I believe that veep's professed townreads on Litt and Kaif would be much more impressionante* if he went into a bit of detail--for example, he might explain that he townreads Litt because Litt's posts have largely relied on sweeping generalizations about things that town would do with seemingly little care for the accuracy or defensibility of those generalizations, which is a characteristic of Litt's townplay. Or he might go on to say that Kaif is town because Kaif has posted with exceeding conviction to his reads and shown little patience for players who would halt thread momentum to ask him to double back on those reads, a ride-or-die, get-with-the-program mentality that is within Kaif's townrange.

But Julia Louis-Dreyfus is firmly committed to mediocrity.




*I can't think of a good English word here that isn't burdened by value judgment, but take this to mean "making an impression" rather than "impressive"
