Social Games
Hello, everyone! This is our forum for Social Games. Before playing/hosting, please read through these rules and have a fun time!
About Social Games:
Social Games is an umbrella term for popular alternative social deduction/competition games. These include Surviviors, EiMMs, and other ORGs (online reality games). This list isn't exhaustive, and you can find a wide variety of gameplay experiences here! See below for some more detailed descriptions:
Survivor (provided by Arby)
Survivor is a social game based on the reality show ‘Survivor’. The general premise of the game is to avoid being voted out by your fellow players until you reach a Final X number of players. At that point, a group of voted out players known as the Jury decide the winner based from the last remaining players.
Typically, the game begins with at least 2 tribes. Each tribe competes in challenges which could be anything ranging from puzzles to Pokemon Battles to totally luck based. The winning tribe is immune whereas the losing tribe has to vote a player out. The player with the most votes is eliminated from the game at Tribal Council. There can be advantages or idols in the game that add an extra spin to tribals so be careful!
Eventually, all the tribes merge into one and players compete for individual immunity. This continues until the final X players. We then have the Final Tribal Council where the Jury questions the final players on why they deserve to win. The jury casts their vote and the player with the most votes wins the game!

Everyone Is Mafia Mafia (EiMM) is a free-for-all format that combines the mechanics and strategy of traditional mafia with the social prowess of OC play. Use your night actions and your wits to ensure that you're among the last players standing!

Resources:
- FTF's Definitive Forum Hosting Guide (X). Under construction currently, but should be helpful for getting your feet in the water.
- How to do an ISO on Proboards (X). Very helpful tool when playing games.
- How to quote and multi-quote (X), because formatting is hard sometimes.
- Sample Submission (X) and Forum Signup Standard (X). Both of these should be useful for crafting Game Proposals.
- Acronym List (X). Mafia is a jargon-rich game, so this may be useful for making sense of all the noise.
- The Mafia Discussion Board (X). Contains many other various resources and discussion threads about prominent aspects of Mafia.
And if you need to contact a staff member, these two should be able to resolve most forum-centric issues. Otherwise, refer to room-staff.
