A New Game for Old People
Hosts: ForgotToFlush Start Date: 5/22/23 12:00 AM EST. Signups will close 24 hours prior Day Phase Length: 24 hours per shot Deadline Time: 12:00 AM EST, but will change as shots happen and are resolved Contact and Communication: No Outside Contact. Mafia are allowed to communicate with their partners through the provided medium.

Rules:
Global Rules:
0. I am the host of the game, and my word is law. I reserve the right to modkill/godkill or substitute anyone out those who break the rules.*
1 (a). You can only talk about the game in the game thread unless specified otherwise. Once you are dead you cannot talk to anyone about the game. Knowledge acquired after death cannot be transferred from a dead player to a living player.
1 (b). Outside influences (eg. Threatening, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, trust tells) are not tolerated and will be dealt with severely.
1 (c). Sportmanship should be shown. Salting, raging or ranting will not be tolerated. At the end of the day, mafia is played for fun.
2. Every user has a role PM. Role PMs may not be shown to other users at any time. All forms of sharing of role PMs is banned. If anyone finds a person encouraging others to share their role PMs or sharing role PMs themselves, please be sure to report it.
3 If you have the gun, declare your shot by bolding "Shoot (player name)".
4. Do not edit or delete your posts, if you need to correct something make another post.
5. Only sign up if you know you're going to be at least fairly active. If you do not post/are not active during the day phase, you will be prodded. If you fail to post after the previous prod or require excessive prods, you will be subbed out.*
6. Extensions will be granted according to the situation.*
7. Angleshooting is prohibited. This is included but not limited to submeta, hostmeta and using out of game information to form reads. Punishable by modkill.*
8. Do not try to exploit any loopholes or circumvent the rules.
*-will be judged at the discretion of hosts/staff

"Before the game starts, mafia must elect a townie to be the gunbearer. That player has until deadline runs out to shoot another player. If the gunbearer hits scum, they keep the gun. If the gunbearer hits town, the gunbearer dies and the targeted townie becomes the new gunbearer.
If the gunbearer does not shoot by deadline, they die and the mafia pick a new gunbearer.
The gunbearer is always announced and confirmed as innocent.
This game is nightless."

I'm at work, but because of the 24 hour deadlines I'll be checking in as much as possible
moto getting gun to me at least suggests some scum more familiar with the server if we want to go that route, but following that as a maxim is a trap
I think it's worth looking at down the road once we get some red flips though
Schia's a bad d1 shot imo, but no real preference based on what I see so far
