Do you think Fame is scum trying to force out a read or do you think theyre town jumping to a conclusion? it's far too early to tell but my initial reaction was that some of the stuff they've been chiming in with is just like, not things i'd expect fame to care about as much as they seem like they are? for example fame's reaction to me townleaning iavh felt overexaggerated & then half of what i was saying was mischaracterized, i'm just not sure if that was by design yet then i'm not sure what would make someone at this point in the game have an alignment read on kliff, but less so that it's more like *specifically* fame townreading kliff off of the posts he's put out so far doesn't make sense to me from what i know about fame's formation of townreads when they're town it would be funny if fame got mafia for what i think would be a third game in a row town last game, no streak ): |

trying to solve a bit ok so what we got mason, named townie iavh trying to setupsolve: town PRs: neapolitan (checks for vt), jk / doc (one should be in there if I'm not wrong given the abundantness of them encountering them in MS closed setups), gated investgative (os cop / gated tracker/watcher (2-3 shots)), maybe a vig though not counting on the chances of it (1-2 shot), other mason, +whatever fen decides to put here, I've seen hider in these I wonder if the mason is there as a red herring... looked really scummy to claim mason SoD1 scum PRs: roleblocker (most common), might be a neapolitan here, on the other hand could be a role cop. wonder if they would put a doc/jk here for a fakeclaim (looks smth like a not myan to do, myan cs is straightforward kek) that's my input for the day i've been staring at this for what feels like a half-century and while otoh i think this is extremely funny coming fresh off the "don't massclaim", it's also like, bleeding pretense to the point of coming right back around to where it hits earnestness

i'd be shocked stp it seemed like a blatant fakeclaim feel like if you get mason then you at least have some sort of incentive to be secretive about it until it matters and then if you do wind up claiming it's not just you yourself claiming clouds when will u learn the difference between new players and experinces players, just bc most people wouldnt do it doesnt mean a newish person wont. Plus I think thar second part is true but you need to remember not everyone is u and acts the exact same way u do in that situation! this fucks extremely hard |

like, some of that's coming fresh off Tropicana & some of that's just general distaste toward your parse there, but also like
general mindfulness that we're playing a closed setup rn and i think an earlygame approach that privileges partnerships over individual slot reads is probably Not the most reliable approach so let's maybe knock the temptation, esp. on such weak footing

Don’t like kliff downplaying my shit already Sure thing ig I’ll just leave that there But don’t disregard it IMO if you're actually wanting to read IAVH's alignment these posts are most telling Is town more likely to assume someone is scum downplaying their contributions to the thread or are they more likely to ask 'What's useful instead?" in this scenario Not really asking this rhetorically so feel free to answer bc I don't really know and it's early in the morning for me I mean for me it's just that I very much don't think that wolf!IAVH manages the sort of thought progression that could produce the mech-centered posts *and* these in the same stretch of threadspace.
&a bit of that comes from having seen clem play a 'hit dog' wolfgame before--I do think he's much more given to damage control/attempts at recuperating & saving face, as opposed to throwing it back at the other party. But also fmpov it's like... you have someone who hasn't had the *best* success getting into the meat of a game trying to get the ball rolling with some setup-spec that isn't terribly mech-heavy but certainly isn't shy about engaging with that layer of the game, after having *just* made a comment about not coming in with claims off the gate. So already from a wolf perspective, it's extremely unlikely you produce those initial two posts (the 'hey no claims' & the setup-spec wall) without being aware of the friction between them. &the setup-spec has some showiness to it, but it tracks less as busywork to me and more like "let me try and do *something*", mostly in that i think if it were truly busywork there'd be a lot more fussing around it on clem's part.
Instead we get things like the above, which are just like... they don't *never* come from a wolf, but I also just don't think wolf!clem ever stands by that post or insists on it in the way that's going on here, least of all faking at being *slighted* by pushback against the post.
