First things first:

Huge shoutout to Snaquaza, for not only developing and testing the new VCBot, but making himself immediately available to help out when things didn't go according to plan. This would have been a very different experience if I had to manually count 146 pages worth of votes, so we should all be very thankful to him. This game would not have ran as well as it did without him.

Now onto the game itself:

Those more familiar with mash style games will realize that I took some creative liberties in adapting this style of game for PS! Mafia. As this was the first time the community has seen anything of this nature, I felt the need to make the new mechanics as accessible as possible. With that being said, the overwhelming positive response to the game means that for future iterations, we can try to undo some of those changes to get closer to that puritan mash experience.

Speaking of future iterations, I probably wouldn't solo-host another one of these. Developing this took months, and I still ended up with tons of glaring oversights that I usually try to eliminate. None of these oversights ended up being particularly backbreaking, but I think it's clear to me that we'd need a team to make the next one. If that's the kind of thing that appeals to you, shoot me a message!

Speaking of oversights, I'll probably talk about mechanics in a new thread altogether. There was a ton of unexplored design space, because I wanted to keep things relatively manageable for the community. As a result, among what was done, what could have been done, what shouldn't have been done, etc etc etc, it leaves me with a lot to talk about, so I'll bore you all to death with mechanics talk on another day.

But in summation, I set out to see how the community would respond to a high involvement, high intensity game, and you all showed up. This was amazing to spectate, and I bet even better to play. Every expectation I had was completely exceeded and it makes me feel glad to have been a part of something like this.

With such a high level of competition, it makes my job of picking MVPs very difficult! There were a lot of you deserving of the honours but unfortunately I can only pick 2. For this game, the MVPs are prodigu and litteleven. Congrats!

So with all that said, hopefully another one of these can get put together for next year, or so. I hope you all had fun, and check out JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki if you haven't already!

The game was extremely enjoyable, especially with it being the first time ive ever played in a format this big. The players as well as Flush & Snaq ended up making it a very enjoyable experience for everyone!
