schia what do you think about toiletbrother's entrance Its given me some thought as to what buckets make sense for noms here to expedite this game-end. I'm still wrapping up here but if you and fame are around at 430 my time ideally that's when I'd like to run through things Right so okay FINALLY I can get this all out - first off, thanks to everyone for going through talking through the question points; the observant among you will have probably inferred a lot of my headspace going into it, but it helped to kind of get some slots moving that I don't think were otherwise ever going to touch on certain things independently.
To make explicit some things rq--
-I do think this is three villagers -I do think these were murder noms -I think Fame's villager status is more easily defended, as there are some extreme edgecases where MiCrO cAn StIlL bE a WoLf (a hurdle that Fame has cleared earlier), but-- -Micro's been moving in ways that are pretty blatantly contrary to that world for quite a while now (something I marked in my notes a while ago but didn't really voice outright in thread for reasons that I should hope are obvious by now), so-- -In terms of keeping up momentum and managing the trust-fall element of what I'm going to continue to call a locked game, I do think Fame is the better chop here.

Specifically I think, among the slots who could've occupied an UTR status on the wolfteam, I think the timing of micro's surge in thread presence rules out his existence on a team with Pass, and I think beyond the initial townlean, behaviors he's shown in the past few phases that can be classed as townsiding are pretty game-losing if the intention was to ever have him go deep here.

With that out of the way, a shaggy POE for me looks something like Bucket 1: {DDLC/TB2} Bucket 2: {STP/Vade} and then Commie, whilom rea, finds himself in about as fun a predicament as rea was in--where the slot has been overall quite villagery but hasn't done anything to actually towntell. Back to that in a bit. In Bucket 1, to be as brief about this as possible (50 min to DL lol), I think the pair of DDLC and TB2 never have both remaining wolves. If it does, then their play has been openly game-losing as a duo, and I also don't think we would've seen the hail mary we got from Pass there. In Bucket 2, which I should hope people picked up on in my first question SOD or when I first pinged NE with it, but if not, micro said it again this phase: there are like, zero worlds where STP and Vade are partners together. I think the tricky thing about rea's slot though (and unfortunately Commie hasn't been helped much on this front) is p much what I've been saying all game, which is that the ways in which it's been townie (very townie!) are also some of the easiest ways to fake being townie as wolf. What makes it worse, though, is that the *sharp* decline in WIM from the slot times really, really well for what you'd expect for current team profile (one dead-slot whose sub entered the game already in antispew, one UTR slot who felt the need to take a BIG swing in order to disrupt game inertia, with two remaining low-influence slots who short of some miracle always die; it's just a matter of how long the game goes on before that happens). And the unfortunate thing abt what Fame was getting at, where that frustration reads as genuine from rea's slot (who again, was very widely townread), is that that same emotion is extremely easy for wolves to leverage when trying to come across as genuine & be villageread for it (which is part of the non-sportsmanship issue with AtE: it makes the game more hospitable for wolves). DDLC has a similar issue, where there are moments that actually do come across as sincere from his slot (which I noted in some of our live interactions earlier), but if we're looking strictly at like, the function of how DDLC's been playing i think it's way less excusable than what Commie, née rea, has given us. So. My thinking is that whichever of you or Fame dies here today--the noms are just either of those two buckets(your call), plus Commie (to force pressure-by-threat-of-lunch) on the slot. Game always wraps before we hit me/Lechen, even accounting for a murder nom from the next wolf to flip. |
