Welcome to AJ's World! As the last paragraph would suggest, to win this game, all you have to do is not die! Seems easy enough, eh?
To start off, all players will PM AJ a persona. Base it off of yourself, what you think to be yourself, someone else, or just something completely random! (Include a picture please!) (Also don't make it something completely OP/strong, I'll veto it if so. Make sure it has strengths and weaknesses.) You will post in character throughout the whole game.
Example Character:
My name is Adolf Schmitzler. I was born a bit before the Second World War, and thus know about the hardships of life. I work in Germany as a butcher, so I know a bit about knives. I tend to eat too much sometimes, hence my larger physique and slower running capabilities. I enjoy my food though, and like having the company of others, especially my family. I'm generally a jolly and funny person, but grave issues get to me. Though I'm not frightened at all by animals, the dark always seem to get to me.
The game is split into day and night phases, day phases being 72 hours and night phases being 24 hours. You can act during all phases, but you must sleep once every two nights, unless you want to start experiencing some fun effects
You also must eat and drink, or you'll die. Pretty self explanatory.
Everyone will start with some gold, and that's it. Gold is the currency for this game.
I will be performing the role of NPCs. I'll give everyone opportunities to interact with them, sometimes you might have to instigate it though! (You might say, "I see a man on the side of the road and ask him for directions," for example.) You can't say the effects of an action you perform in one of your posts, as it's what I determine. For example, you can't say, "I threw a piece of gold in the wishing well and wished to get 1000 gold in return. As I'm walking away, the gold appears in front of me!" Instead, you can just say, "I threw a piece of gold in the wishing well and wished to get 1000 gold in return."
After a while, if people get good at avoiding death, I'll force the remaining players into duels. (So when we have 4 players left probably, but we'll see.) Feel free to challenge other players to duels at other points in the game, or just feel free to interact with them in whatever way you wish (trading, for example). You may not be close to them at every given moment though, and I'll inform you of that.
At the end of every night phase, I will PM you an updated count of your gold, items, and condition/status.
You must be active if you wish to join, i.e. You must post about once every 24 hours minimum.
