|||V|V|| MASONIC MAFIA ||V|V|||
10 players:
Town:
- 3 masons
- 3 doctors, one of which is bulletproof without knowing it
- 1 1-shot governor coroner
vs.
Mafia:
- 1 even-night spoiler traitor
- 2 mafia goons
General rules:
0. I am the host of the game, and my word is law. I reserve the right to modkill/godkill or sub anyone out those who break the rules.
1. You can only talk about the game in the game thread unless specified otherwise. Once you are dead you cannot talk to anyone about the game. Knowledge acquired after death cannot be transferred from a dead player to a living player, with the exception of theme-specific rule #3.
1.5. Outside influences (eg. Threatening, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, trust tells) are not tolerated and will be dealt with severely.
2. Each day will have a deadline of 96 hours. You may vote to lynch users during the day by posting "lynch USER" in bold, or "No lynch" if you don't want to lynch anyone (lynch votes will not count if they're not in the correct format!). The day will end when a majority is reached. Please do not ask when is majority as it is possible that there might be lynch-affecting roles. It would be nice if you wanted to "unlynch USER", but it is not necessary. DO NOT edit your previous post to remove the "Lynch USER".
3. Each night will have a deadline of either 24 or 48 hours. This gives you either 24 or 48 hours to send in your night action. Please state what you are doing (and your role) in the PM title, it makes it MUCH easier to handle.
3.5. If you're not going to do anything at night, send a PM titled "Night X - idling". This makes keeping track of things easier and informs me that you're still playing the game.
4. Do not edit your post, if you need to correct something make another post.
5. Only sign up if you know you're going to be at least fairly active. If you do not post/are not active within the last 48 hours, you will be prodded. If you fail to post at all during an entire day/night cycle, or receive more than two prods, you will be subbed.
6. Do not try to exploit any loopholes or circumvent the spirit of the rules, but please remember that creativity is encouraged.
7. It would be wise if you were to be cautious about what you do!

Theme-specific rules:
1. This game starts on D0. No lynch will occur on D0, even if votes are placed. After D0 comes N1, then D1, then N2, then D2...
2. This theme runs on majority lynching. The traitor is not taken into consideration when determining if it is LyLo or Mylo, only the mafia goons.
3. Every player may have one post's worth of night-talking per game. If a player dies without having used this, they may have 5 words or fewer of dead talk. Otherwise, no dead talking, even for a "bah" post.
4. Upon their death, the roles of the deceased will not be revealed, either their alignment or role.
5. The traitor is immune to the mafia's night kill.
6. A factional communication line is set up between the masons. A factional communication line is set up between the mafia. The traitor may never join this communication line. Outside of these lines, this is an NOC game, so only in-thread speaking is allowed.
7. There is one instance of predetermined major bastardness in this theme. You are advised to be wary of it. There is also one instance of predetermined minor bastardness: the first person to die will be revealed, despite rule number 4, and all other deaths that occur afterwards will be revealed as that same role. Only the coroner would know otherwise.
8. Role PMs:
Dear **NAME**, **NAME**, and **NAME**,
You are the masons. You may use this PM thread to speak with each other during the night. During the day, you are all independent of one another, aside from knowing your fellow masons are all innocent.
You are sided with the town, and will win when all of the mafia are eliminated. The traitor does not need to die to secure a town win. In addition, you will also win if the number of town-sided player is equal to the number of mafia goons at any time. You will lose if all of the masons die.

Dear **NAME**,
You are a doctor. Every night, you may select one person, who will be saved from dying if they are targeted by the mafia for their night kill. There are two other doctors. Between the three of you, one of you is one-time bulletproof. You will not know if you are it. If the bulletproof doctor is visited by another doctor the night they are targeted by the mafia's kill, the bulletproof ability will still activate and will be lost. The bulletproof doctor will know if they are hit.

Dear **NAME**,
You are the 1-shot governor coroner. Every night, you may select one dead person and learn both their alignment and their role. In addition to this, you may override the lynch once per game. You may choose then if the day then ends without a lynch, or if the day "restarts". You may override your own lynch if you want.

Dear **NAME**,
You are the even night spoiler traitor. You do not know who the mafia goons are, and they do not know who you are. If you are targeted by their night kill, the kill will not go through, and both you and they will be notified. In addition to this, every even night (N2, N4, N6...), you MUST select one person to spoil. Until someone else is spoiled, or your death, they will lose both their vote and any night actions they have. Masons and mafia goons will not lose the ability to talk to each other. They will learn that they were spoiled after the spoiling has passed. Spoiling is not prevented by doctors. You may spoil yourself.

You are the mafia goons. Every night, you may select one person to perform the factional night kill on. You must also specify which one of you will actually perform the kill, or it will not go through. You may also use this PM thread to speak to each other during the night.
