Why not publicly out all flavor roles to trap people in their claims later on and make coordination easier? If mafia claims, say, Abra, it's going to be really hard for them to claim cop in a late game LyLo. Sure, mafia learns role associations, figures the Chansey is a really good N1 target, but in the end this makes coordinating mid- and late-game a thousand times easier for town. Historically, town loses OC games because we rely too much on night actions over day play. Why not just treat our roles as a sweet bonus that might come in handy instead of the end all be all of our existence? Giving an unconfirmed player all these claims is hardly a better, safer deal.

Based on my own role, I have the feeling that the majority of flavors have a blindingly obvious role attached to them. No Altaria=Gunsmith is likely.

With fifteen players, you're looking at a three-man mafia and a single third party or two scum factions with two heads each.

Still advocating for a lynch D1, if only to stir the pot.

Its possible that scum could have a role that messes with town should they know the role name of the town player so i'd try to avoid doing that unless necessary

as you said mafia learning a really good night target could lose us the game - we want our protection roles alive for as long as possible, id daresay they're even more important than information roles in the long run.

rssp1 contradicted himself in the span of six hours just to win two microarguments. If it's not bad for scum to have flavor roles, well, why not just make them public so town can have them too? Lynch rssp1 for shamelessly preserving the suboptimal status quo he set up without any democratic input.

my reasoning was more of randomly picking a guy to send role names to doesnt guarantee all scum get it whereas posting it in thread absolutely does

fuck off with the no democratic input bit though ive been asking people to pitch in if they dont like what i'm saying
