Anyways, welcome to the wonderful world of my game. Hopefully, you all know what uPick is. If not, it's basically when people submit a character from something and I turn it into their role. This is a goodlier version of uPick. Here are the differences between uPick and aPick:
- In uPick, you pick your own character and the host turns it into a role. In aPick, you pick a character, and a random player gets it. (You can NOT get your own role.)
- uPicks are usually closed setups. aPick will be a semi-open setup, where the flavor names of all of the roles and who submitted them are known, but not what they do. (Yes, this means that everyone is confirmed to not be one role.)
- And most importantly, in uPick, alignments usually depend on the flavor role you pick. In aPick, alignments are random (but still hopefully balanced). The amount of scum will be displayed at the start of the game in an XvXvX fashion (e.g. 6v2v1), but descriptions/names of the factions and which flavor role is of which faction will not be provided. This eliminates the need for a fakeclaim.
Generic game rules are here, changed stuff is in bold.
0. I am the host of the game, and my word is law. I reserve the right to modkill/godkill or sub anyone out those who break the rules.
1. You can only talk about the game in the game thread unless specified otherwise. Once you are dead you cannot talk to anyone about the game. Knowledge acquired after death cannot be transferred from a dead player to a living player. You can, however, make a "bah" post within 72 hours of your death, consisting solely of a single use of the word "ded".
1.5. Outside influences (eg. Threatening, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, trust tells) are not tolerated and will be dealt with severely.
2. Every user has a role PM. Role PMs may not be shown to other users at any time. All forms of sharing of role PMs is banned. If anyone finds a person encouraging others to share their role PMs or sharing role PMs themselves, please be sure to report it.
3. Each day will have a deadline of 96 hours. You may vote to lynch users during the day by posting "lynch USER" in bold, or "No lynch" if you don't want to lynch anyone (lynch votes will not count if they're not in the correct format!). The day will end when a majority is reached. Please do not ask when is majority as it is possible that there might be lynch-affecting roles. Using unlynch USER is REQUIRED this game, because I can. DO NOT edit your previous post to remove the "Lynch USER".
3.5. If there's a tie (plurality only), the first user with the highest number of votes will be lynched.
4. Each night will have a deadline of YY hours. This gives you YY hours to send your night action. Please state what you are doing (and your role) in the PM title, it makes it MUCH easier to handle.
4.5. If you're not going to do anything at night, send a PM titled "Night X - idling". This makes keeping track of things easier and informs me that you're still playing the game.
5. Do not edit your post, if you need to correct something make another post.
6. Only sign up if you know you're going to be at least fairly active. If you do not post/are not active within the last 48 hours, you will be prodded. If you fail to post 24 hours after the previous prod or receive 3 or more prods, you will be subbed out. I WILL prod you on PS/Discord if I can find you.
7. Do not try to exploit any loopholes or circumvent the rules.
8. It would be wise if you were to be cautious about what you do!
