Although the survivor isn't town they are still confirmable and I think it's worth the risk to save the survivor and sacrifice someone else since the survivor can actually be useful over a likely tourist

Depends on the situation. e.g. if it's PMylo and Mafia are asking you to win with them, then why wouldn't you say yes since it's your wincon? If you said no and lynched the scum, the scum would likely kill you the night after.
