So some of y'all may recall that every year Mafia Universe hosts a championship game featuring representatives from hundreds of communities. The tournament's format remains the same each year:
It's a fun competition and a great way to meet players from other communities while representing the site you call home. Pokémon Showdown's been represented in Seasons 3 and 4 by TheWhoDoctor (with Fenrir as a backup during Season 4), with the process of choosing a representative being a general consensus. This year we're aiming to bring some more structure to the process, so I've stolen borrowed the system Smogon's Circus Maximus community is using this year.
Users may nominate up to two users they feel will best represent Pokemon Showdown in this thread. When nominating, please tag the user(s) you wish to nominate so they are aware of their nomination and are able to accept or refuse it. In a currently undecided amount of time the nomination phase will end and all players who have received and accepted at least one non-self nomination will be eligible for voting.
If you are nominated but do not wish to accept, please say so in this thread so you are not accidentally added to the running. You may also use this thread to discuss potential nominations.
I'll start by nominating RADicate and Drookez , two outstanding players I think will represent us well.
Each season, the tournament host decides on a fairly balanced and competitive format/setup, and all games that season follow that same format. Every season features a brand new format in the spirit of fairness, since the various participating communities are used to very different types of setups.
Common for all seasons is that the tournament host first divides the representatives up into several qualifying games, having them play in one qualifier each. After each qualifier, the participating representatives themselves cast their votes for who they think deserve to advance to that season's finale game. Usually, there is also a wildcard system in place for each season, which allows for non-advanced players to still be able to play in the finale, though the specifics of this system varies.

It's currently not finalized, as the setup has been different each year due to different sites excelling in different kinds of games. The games themselves are always NOC and the setup has always been either open or semi-open. The number of players per game has also been varied, and this year the setup will have anywhere from 9-17 players. The setup will not be pure Vanilla, as this was last year's theme.
What are the limits who I can nominate?
Currently there are none. As the process continues more regulations will likely be added, and if one of your nominations is invalidated (either due to an added rule or the player refusing) you are allowed to change that nomination to another player.
Can I nominate myself/explain why I should be nominated in this thread?
You may, although be aware that if you use one of your nominations on yourself it will not be counted.
