Hello everybody. I hope you've enjoyed your stay in Swaran. You'll now go discover the world... faraway placing, before finally settling. For this challenge, I will post five different pictures (from Google Maps). You guys will have to figure out where they are from. Before Saturday, 3 PM EDT (in a bit less than 24 hours), you have to submit a place to "fly to", this can be a city, co-ordinates, a park, or any way that clarifies where you think it is. To submit, you have to tag me, say which picture you're submitting for, and where you think it is. The team with the least combined distance between where you think it is, and where it truly is, wins the challenge and an award in the next challenge, which will determine which tribe goes to the tribal council... Picture 1:

From now on, please avoid posting in this thread.

Alright, I hope you found the right places. You'll get the results soon. The winner will receive TEN bonus points on the next assignment!
Now that you've all travelled around the world, you're going to have to settle. Form your own country. You'll have to describe this country as if it it was a travel guide... You'll have to sell your country to potential visitors. For this challenge, three random people will judge your countries based on your descriptions. You will require at least three parts, which you will be judged on. There will be three judges, who can each give up to ten points for each part of the challenge.
Name: This is necessary in general, but only the team with the best name will get five bonus points. Your Discord Tribe name will be changed to this name, and you'll be named like this for the rest of the tribe phase. This will be the name of your country.
Nature: Describe the nature and geography of your country. How large is the country? Does it have mountains, coasts, reefs, forests, deserts, etc... Where on the world is it located (on the poles, around the equator, is it in the middle of an ocean, you get the point). What kind of animals are there, or is it so urbanised that there are few animals anymore?
If you want to go more advanced for more points, you can even draw a map. You can explain why certain animals live there, or are extinct. Were any introduced. How have humans affected the nature of the country? You can do anything you want!
Culture: What are the habits of the people who live there? Are there any festivals, or national celebrations? What kind of food do people eat, and what language do they speak? Do they like to read, watch TV or even anime? Do they have access to the internet and how do they use it? What kinds of industries are big in the country. There are infinite possibilities to this, so just describe what's so special about the people in your country.
Again, more advanced things would be possibly be explaining how politics work. Is the region advanced, and what's the reason for this? Is there good health care / education. Don't focus on just listing facts, explaining why and building a legacy will give you more points!
History: What has happened in the history of your country. How did humans arrive here, or were they here as far as memory lasts? What kind of buildings were important, and what kind of events happened. Like everything really, there are infinite possibilities, so just run wild. Just try to make sure it suits your Nature and Culture!
You should be able to think of more advanced things yourself at this point, really...
The deadline is in 24 hours. Sunday on 3 PM EDT. I'll post some reminders.
Please create a pastebin, google doc, or other kind of document to submit what you've got. I advice a Google Doc so you can all work on it at the same time, but you can also each work on separate parts and combine it in some way. I just need to have an easy way of showing it to the judges.
Good luck everyone! I know this is quite a big assignment, but it should be nice and creative if you guys do your best! Less of a minigame, more of a real assignment... I have faith that you will all do well.
The team with the least points will have to go to Tribal Council!
Edit: Images are always a pro! People want to visualise things. You can draw things, find real-life things that look like what you want, or anything. You could also find other ways to visualise things, or even to link the type of music that's popular in your country... be creative!

To start off, thanks to sciencepanda (Game Corner driver), Catalystic (Anything Goes mod) and drampa's grandpa (Other Metas driver) for helping me by judging! Name Votes:sciencepanda: Caishun Catalystic: Anor Londo drampa's grandpa: Caishun Name Feedback drampa: Anor Londa: Is this named after a place in Dark Souls? (http://darksouls.wikia.com/wiki/Anor_Londo) What does that have to do with Puerto Rico, the obvious influence for your country? New Wakanda: I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of naming countries New ____ when your country has little to do with _____, despite some thematic similarities. Caishun: Sounds a bit Far Eastern to me, which isn't in character, but is otherwise solid. Tribe 1: CaishunName (Nature, Culture, History) sciencepanda (10, 9, 9) Catalystic (9, 8, 7) drampa's grandpa (9, 9, 7) Feedback Cata: Nature – 9 A brilliant description of geograhy (“a gorgeous landscape filled with Palm Trees, towering mountains, and amazing white sand beaches”), compounded with a fantastic Segway into the ecology, gives this a wonderful start. While there is no drawn map, the description of it being west of Mauritius is enough to give a geographical basis for the location. Solid score of 8, yet with the brilliant descriptions, bumped up to a 9. Culture – 8 A slightly lacking description in the culture that is quite merited overall. A good description of the Silver Star Festival, local tourism, and politics is what is focused on, but lacks diversity. No mention of the locals language, inhabitants, and education is subpar, until consideration that this is a country that is run by tourism. As such, the focus on food and tourist attractions is enough to make up for it. A further mention of natives would have bumped the score up even higher, but as such, it sits at an 8/10. History – 7 A very nice historical background on the country of Caishun is given in these two brief paragraphs. Being an island of slave labor to utilize the warm tropical temperatures to farm sugar cane is a very classic example. The unique location of being west of Mauritius is nice, even if it does coincide with Cape Verde’s location. Other interesting tidbits include the historical encomienda system and an implied transported plantation system. Unfortunately, several historical inconsistencies bump the score down from an 8. First, the islands would be located in Portugal’s territory, NOT Spain, making the Spanish background incorrect. Second, capitalists would never not want slavery; only progressives or other similar groups would want human rights. This detracts from the score, earning a 7/10.
drampa: Nature: 9/10 This was a well-done, detailed section. We have location, size, flora + fauna, and localized geography. There are a couple small problems (e.g. rainbow trout wouldn’t be a thing in the Atlantic ocean near the coast of Africa) but they’re overall small and don’t detract much from an overall very solid portion. Culture 9/10 Very well done! I was skeptical about how tiny the island was at first (less than half the land area of Hawaii for reference) but I think you played off it well in this section, with the flag being made by a local waiter etc. The economy, politics, cultural events, and ethnic make-up are all there and mostly fit well with the overall flavor of the place. History 7/10 First off, you forgot Columbus’ name (I assume that’s who you meant.) There is also a lack of explanation for a couple aspects (the Indian population on the island which is mentioned a couple times, and the fact that it was settled by people who came down through the Bering Strait... You said it was just West of Mauritania but with the history it seems like you might have been thinking something more in the Americas). However the history is overall pretty solid, although the weakest portion of this specific piece.
Total: 82 (+5 Bonus) Tribe 2: New WakandaName (Nature, Culture, History) sciencepanda (8, 8, 10) Catalystic (9, 9, 6) drampa's grandpa (8, 7, 5) Feedback Cata: Nature – 9 A very good effort to describe the nature of New Wakanda is given. A nice description of the environment and the tropical lands in the small space of new Wakanda is good. Further mention of natural resources is also quite good. Mention of ecology is also very solid. Strong visual imagery further complements this to give it an 8. Usage of a map bumps it up to a 9. Culture – 9 A very unique flag that tells a story is a key to the country. A nice focus on the historical aspect of the people gives a nice background into the culture. A description of the economic activities including mining and fishing and a nice bit about education, along with festivals and politics, gives this a solid score of 8. A unique flag also helps and bumps the score up to a 9. History – 6 Overall, New Wakanda does not have a particularly rich history. A country ravaged by war in the past and being created out of this isn’t particularly interesting. Several examples in the past, such as Germany and Italy in the 1860s and 1840s respectively, were unified with war based on a complex set of factors. New Wakanda simply rising from the ashes doesn’t bring enough of that uniqueness. However, the humorous effort in the history with references to Avatar the Last Airbender and Snaquaza makes it worth bumping up from a 5 to a 6.
drampa: Nature: 8/10 In depth and well woven into the details of the rest of the country. I enjoyed that the lack of rainfall in most parts of the country affected both culture and other aspects of nature. Still not sure where these three countries are except with regards to each other though. Culture: 7/10 Again, integrated well with other parts of the country. Some aspects here are a little unrealistic (not having a military in a region with a history of war? Sounds sketchy, no matter how good the natural defenses are.) Lack of details on the ruling council briefly mentioned was sad as well, but the description of the economy and population distribution made up for it. Overall solid. History: 5/10 Earth. Water. Fire. Air. Why is this the avatar opening sequence. Overall lacks the care that was taken with the other two, and is lacking in details.
Total: 80 (+10 Bonus) Tribe 3: Anor LondoName (Nature, Culture, History) sciencepanda (5, 5, 3) Catalystic (6, 6, 2) drampa's grandpa (1, 6, 2) Feedback Cata: Nature – 6 A decent description of the geography is given. An overall map and the description of its 3 cities are given as well. Unfortunately, no mention of the ecology is given, thus giving it a base score of 5/10. Utilization of visual imagery with maps bumps the score up to a 6. Culture – 6 Food is well mentioned, with 3 examples given with pictures. In addition, holidays are also mentioned as well. Recreation is also well covered. This gives a quite nice overall comprehensive view on culture, yet misses key parts such as education, religion, and language. Thus, this receives a score of 5/10, yet also goes up to a 6/10 due to visual imagery. History – 2 No particular mention to the history was given, except for brief mentions of the symbolism of the flag. Score of 2.
drampa: Nature: 1/10 Barely mentioned. The one is for the map and the ‘Southern part of the world’ reference, otherwise this would be a 0. I know it's Puerto Rico but you still need to provide me with information. Culture: 6/10 Most of the presentation is spent on this. We’ve got food, sports, holidays, a famous person, government, and a passing mention of fashion / clothes. Spare on the depth of detail, but overall good. History: 2/10 Again, barely mentioned. There are some things I can infer even without knowing what this is based on (for instance, a past connection to the United States) but very little is given.
Total: 35 This means that Tribe 3 (aka Anor Londo) has to go to the tribal council! Every player on that tribe gets one voted to vote someone else out. The person with the most votes will have to leave the game immediately. The rest of you have a day off. Throughout the game, you'll be able to edit the document you've used to describe your country. This may influence certain assignments, but your current submissions should be fine to make it through. For the rest of the game, you'll be named after your country!

Tribal CouncilNext ChallengeWelcome to the next Reward Challenge! You will have to send decide on three players who are able to represent a country, and a fourth who is good at recognising them. On the tribes that have five players left, you are allowed to have one person sit it out. The players who have to represent a country need to contact me ASAP and I'll explain what they have to do. Once you get to know this knowledge, you may not communicate it to the rest of your team. You should try to do this as soon as possible. The challenge consists of multiple parts, so the quicker you do the first, the more time you'll have for the rest. Each player should specify whether they want the EASY, MEDIUM, or HARD part of the challenge. Each team needs to do all three. If the harder ones go well, you'll obtain more points. The members of the winning team gain a double vote for during a tribal council. However, this double vote may only be used after the Tribe Merge.

You've settled in your new country... now it's time to describe the daily life here. Once again, you'll have to think creatively about this assignment for immunity! And this time, two tribes will be send to the tribal council...
Your task is to describe the life of one (fictional) person of your choice in your country. You can decide where they live in the country, but make sure their life story shows the essence of the country well. I expect mostly text, but if you have any other types of media to use, feel free to. You are even allowed to use creative writing for this, as long as it shows the person you're showcasing well enough.
Good luck, and have fun. May the best country win! The deadline is in approximately 24 hours at 3 PM EDT Thursday. If you need an extension for any reason, please inform me and we'll try to work things out.
Edit: This will once again be judged by some judges, but there'll be no specific points to focus on. Just be creative and try to showcase your person, and thus life in your country as well as possible, and above all, be creative about it! You are allowed to edit your documents that showcase your country in general, to specify more things (though don't change the essence of the country). This document will be send with your new story to the judges.

This time, our judges were GL Volkner, Zyg, and Darthesis! Thanks to them all for helping me out this time. CaishunGL Volkner: 5 Zyg: ?? Darthesis: 19 Total: 24 Feedback GL Volkner: While the text addresses the social situation in Caishun, it doesn't address the task at all. The given task was to describe the life of one person in your country, using the essence of the country. However, the submission here does not detail what life is like, nor does it use anything listed in the travel guide to describe what it has. The 5 points come from using the current president, providing some element of consistency, but other than that the task is hardly addressed and there isn't exactly anything else to link the travel guide and the submission together.
Zyg: ??
Darthesis: In short: nice and clear, a political view is a great way (imo) to describe a country and a person's life in it. However, it is quite short and doesn't really provide the reader with tHAT much info. I am left with much less than I would like, given i should be able to treat this as a "person" that actually exits within the country. For me, this was just a politician that wants votes.
New WakandaGL Volkner: 25 Zyg: ?? Darthesis: 24 Total: 49 Feedback GL Volkner: This is a thorough representation of a life, using the country to tell the past of the individual. It expands on the description of the country while keeping the current elements consistent. There's definitely a lot less emphasis on daily life than in the past, which is what deducts 5 points, but overall this is a good retelling and I enjoyed reading it for the most part.
Zyg: ??
Darthesis: Really liked this. a clear and deep look into the life of a girl. Some mistakes here and there, but those are tolerable, and in general the story is quite nice (and sad) It provides an interesting view into the life of this person, and is quite vibrant. It's easy to feel as if this girl is an actual person living an actual life. Only regret is the lack of dept in what exactly is happening, a bit too rushed.
Anor LondoGL Volkner: 3 Zyg: ?? Darthesis: 18 Total: 21 Feedback GL Volkner: The slide states that Anor Londo has 3 cities, but in this challenge you state that Anor Londo is a city. I'm not sure which one to believe. You mention Izalith, a city within Anor Londo, as the location where the witch comes from. Where is Izalith? Why did Anor Londo suddenly become a country at the end of the novel? This receives 3 points because you use the same names in the slides, but the consistency is all over the place and this seems very rushed.
Zyg: ??
Darthesis: A fantasy approach is interesting, and definitely different, but I have to wonder how well it fits into a contest. Mainly because it feels more like writing up a myth than anything else. I liked it, don't get me wrong, but it felt more as a story than as a person in a country. Other than that it was a nice read, and I do understand "Gwynn" within the constraints of the country.
Zyg hasn't send his response in, but seeing how New Wakanda has a 25 point lead over the nearest competitor I'm giving it the win and just updating with Zyg's points later, so that I can go to bed. This means that Caishun and Anor Londo will have to go tribal council. Good luck everyone. It'll be an offday for New Wakanda!

Hello everyone. Have you been enjoying the time with your tribe. Have you build a strong connection, or have you started off every challenge an hour before deadline? Well, this challenge is there to shake things up a bit... Was your tribe too OP, too bad? Well, try to do well here so you can assemble your own new tribe!
Today, you'll have to send me an answer for what you think of with all of these statements. It's like parroting, the more people say the same thing, the more points you get. You're allowed to communicate with your tribe still, but... you'll be fighting against them! The top player of each tribe will get to pick three other players to join their tribe, of their choice. Be smart with who you pick...
After this challenge is over, you'll get a day to socialise, after which the tribe leaders will have to send me an order of preference. The person who did best overall in this challenge will get the first pick, the the second, etc.
The complete order goes: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Good luck everybody...
What do you think of with?
1) Big Country 2) Small Country 3) Good Country 4) Bad Country 5) An Ocean 6) A Forest / Jungle 7) A Lake 8) A River 9) A Mountain 10) A Continent
If there's a tie, there'll be a tiebreaker vote.
Good luck to you all! Send me your submissions over Discord / Forum PMs. Deadline is tomorrow Saturday, 3 PM EDT.
