Never before seen in the world of Mafia!
Presenting a Hybrid Forum x Real-Time Mafia
Well maybe it has been done, but anyway I'm (hopefully) bringing the FIRST EVER HYBRID MAFIA GAME!
What do I mean by Hybrid? Well it means the game will be split across 2 different sites-The PS Mafia Forum page (where you're hopefully reading this message) and PS Mafia GC (the chatroom on showdown).
Will this work? Who knows! Will I host error? Probably. Who allowed me to do this crazy idea? Snaq of course! (thx Snaq for letting me go Hyde on this)
Game will commence at 2pm EST on Saturday 6th April (that's 6pm UCT/GMT if you want to convert from there). It should take 4 hours max.
To compete in this you're going to need: - A Forum Account
- A PS! Account
That's it! Hopefully we can get lots of people to try this out, maybe some people might stick around for other forum games, maybe you will just hate me by the end of this. Either way, you won't know unless you join! |

basically the idea is that d1 is played on forums, everyone gets their role pm here and their wincon etc etc standard forum procedure.
then n1 happens, where everyone switches over the showdown where d2 commences. Then n2 commences, and everyone comes back to forums for d3
BASICALLY odd numbered days = forum thread, even numbered days = Showdown
the main differences is that forum days will be longer (to reflect forum day lengths but not real forum lengths because I've only got 1 day to do this) plus you are able to wall post here, but no script (so manual lynches)
For those wondering how i'll transfer roles, i'll just forcesetroles named "Ur PM" or something like that
factional communication should happen on showdown constantly, or if that's not possible discord for forum days (but forum days only)
hopefully that explains how this should work, if u have anymore questions feel free to ask and i'll answer them (may need help with snaq on what i'm clarifying but hey this is the first time one of us is hosting this so maybe someone can make this more efficient if they ever decide to do a sequel)

how do you plan on scheduling this for times when all the players are available? seems kinda unrealistic to me this is a 1 day event that's running on sat at 2pm est - whenever it finishes (which will be a couple of hours probably due to people switching sites and differing day lengths etc) There was a poll and most people said they were free at 1pm est and 3 pm est, so I just decided to take the middle value and hope people are around and wanna play Hopefully people are around as i'll announce it in disc and showdown that last part of signups and get as many people in as possible so we can have a fun game |
