So, I just made a thread about communicating information. I quickly touched on differences between forum and chat mafia there. What do you think are the main differences in meta / playstyle, and how do you adapt?
I'll probably post something later.

Chat Mafia is more fast-paced, and you feel like you have to interact as much as possible since there's a lot of things you need to say in a short period of time. It's also harder to read up and make reassessments on your arguments because of that.
Forum Mafia is more relaxed and you have all the time in the world, so you can put a much greater focus on content and quality in what you post. This means you can make structured arguments and have very meaningful discussions without the nagging of a real-time deadline.
I don't actually have a preference for either. In the Chatroom, you can play more games and the quick thinking gets you to focus a lot. In the Forum, you can sit back and pop in every once in a while, and take your time to have useful discussions, although the game itself can last weeks (or in some cases, months).
