Welcome to the first and only Outside Contact Mafia game of the forum circuit! Outside Contact means that you are not limited to the game thread to discuss the game. You will be allowed to communicate in any way over this forum (game thread, private messages) or over Discord (discussion channel). For this reason, we discourage signing up if you do not have Discord. You can still sign up, but will have to show proactive communication over the other available channels. This mechanic adds a different power hierarchy to the game. Who do you trust? Who do you plan lynches with? Although in Fire and Ice there's not a lot of power roles that can claim exclusively to certain users, it will still be an entirely different experience.

Rules- The hosts' word is law.
- Activity is required. Although the primary method of communication isn't the main game thread, so there won't be a minimum amount of posts per day, you will be subbed out if the hosts can't confirm your activity by seeing you communicate with the other players.
- Although the game is OC, there's only four allowed methods of communication: the forum thread, private forum messages, the Discord channel, and private Discord messages. Communicating about the game elsewhere can result in a modkill, depending on the situation.
- Since the game is OC, you are allowed to talk to any players privately about the game. If you do this, you are required to add the hosts (Snaq ◢ ◤ and BoredGames ) to your private forum or Discord message. We have to be able to keep an eye on the game. I recommend adding the hosts (and the other players) as friends on Discord, so you can easily create messages. For the record, our Discord tags are Lucas ◢ ◤#6740 and bored_6886#1529.
- All players will receive their Role PM via forum private messages. A scum chat will be made over forum messages as well. It will be the scum's own responsibility to make a scumchat on Discord, if they want one. Once again, I recommend friending all players, otherwise it could look odd if you're friends with specific players.
- Talking will be allowed at Night during this game. The forum thread and Discord channel will stay open. Idles won't be required at night, as long as we can confirm your activity otherwise. Night actions will have to be send via the Role PM and will be idled if not sent.
- Regardless of the method of communication, editing or deleting messages will not be allowed. Sent is sent.
- The only way to lynch people is to publicly make a message saying "Lynch [user]". The bold is required and the vote will not be counted otherwise. At the end of the day, the person with the most votes (using the plurality system) will be eliminated. If hammer is reached at any point, the person will be eliminated immediately.
- Every user has a role PM. Role PMs may not be shown to other users at any time. All forms of sharing of role PMs is banned. If anyone finds a person encouraging others to share their role PMs or sharing role PMs themselves, please be sure to report it.
- Outside influences (eg. bribes, threats or pre-made alliances) and exploiting loopholes is not allowed.

Theme Explanation
Fire and Ice is a 13-player multiball setup. There's two scum groups: the Fire Mafia and the Ice Mafia. The main special mechanic is that if both scum groups kill the same person at night, the kill is neutered and the target survives. Otherwise, the deaths can also be prevented by the Doctor.
The game will fast-forward if the Fire Mafia / Ice Mafia retain a majority over town with no opposing Mafia remaining, since it will be impossible for them to lose. Although the Role PMs say "survive", you win if only your specific alignment remains regardless of whether you survived.
If there's a situation where there's one Fire Mafia and one Ice Mafia, then both alignments will tie and get half the points for winning. The same thing will happen if only one Town is alive, in the same situation.

Game InformationThis game will run with day-phases that last 48 hours, and night-phases that run 24 hours. We reserve the right to edit these lengths if necessary, or even pause the game. The game will run with plurality and night-talk in effect. We will aim to give at least one mid-day votecount each day-phase. This votecount should optimally be posted after approximately 24 hours. In case there's more signups than players allowed in a game, we'll run multiple games at the same time. We will aim to find some substitute players as well, in case some players are inactive. I won't spam per se, but a lack of activity definitely hurt the last game so hopefully this game can be better giving him motivation to be active so he doesn't win the game with 10 posts in 2 weeks again if he flips scum cool if he flips town unlucky Oh, totes fair then. Although, losing town isn't so much of an "unlucky" as it is a "oh god we're almost about to lose bc there's too much scum ahhhhhh" but I get you anyway haha.
