Good if you know what you're doing Bad if you don't Most people don't.
You sheep someone if you know they have a better read than you do, or if you simply trust that person (for reasons other than them just sounding like they know what they're doing) If you have a clear, it makes sense to sheep them because you know there's no agenda behind the reads
You shouldn't be sheeping because you lack independent thought. Don't just phone it in and sheep because you're too lazy to do anything with your day phase.

if you have a really strong townread then it isn't egregious to sheep them This depends on you knowing how to make townreads

Yeah, I tend toward that.
In skilled hands (which mostly means "careful" here), sheeping's great for manipulating wagons by securing or shifting plur, great for breadcrumbing if you're not a dimwit about it, and really great for forcing certain players to interact, but like.... nine times out of ten, it's just people randomly mayorizing because they have no clue.

I think my bigger issue w/ it is that it basically makes all of your game contribution into "Okay, but do they actually SR justinsmom, or are they just lynching him bc tokyo did"
which like, if you read, can become apparent after a bit, but when half the PL either can't read or can't make themselves readable, it's annoying to deal with
