As the year draws to a close, we're proud to announce PS! Mafia's Theme Creation Contest!
Over the course of the next few weeks, users will have the opportunity to design, workshop, and host their own custom themes. Any roles you think could use some more love? Mechanics you've been meaning to try out? Flavor you've been dying to use? This contest is an opportunity to make those ideas a reality and show off your creativity!
The contest will be held over the course of three weeks, with three rounds of judging.
Workshops will be held in between rounds in order to give everyone a fair shot at making their themes the best they can be.
(Dec 1 - Dec 8): Open Setups
(Dec 8 - Dec 22): Semi-Open Setups
(Dec 15 - Dec 29): Closed Setups
Submissions for each round will be judged in the following categories:
Balance (Are the roles distributed fairly? Do the mechanics favor one side over another?)
Creativity (Is the setup unique? Does it feel too similar to another setup? Is it inspired?)
Clarity (Are the mechanics easy to understand? Was it hosted well? Are the roles explained clearly?)
Enjoyability (Is the theme fun to play? Would users play it again? On the whole, how did the playerbase respond to it?)
Participants will be able to receive a total of 10 points in each category, with the judges' scores being averaged together at the end of each round.
The three scores from each round will be taken together and averaged, with the lowest score being dropped.
Winning theme will be added to the theme listings on PS!Mafia's Weebly

ForgotToFlush You can submit the written theme to staff either through forum PM or discord DM (just make sure it's clearly labeled). As far as playtesting goes, it'll be similar to the voice contest--let staff know when you're ready to host & judging will occur throughout the week.
Anonymous Death OS by M$til Would also like to take the moment to give a quick update - due to time restraints on several ends, we've decided to grant a one week extension for Semi-OS submissions. As such, we'll also be extending the CS round for an additional week out of fairness to all parties. Good luck and keep the themes coming!
