Chapter Seven - 6th place - 8.0 / 10
Comments: kn-kn-kn-knock em out.
Mix on this is pretty weak but Slick Rick actualy spits some fire here. Keeping it short and sweet, he goes over the story of two boys and how one went down the wrong path.

Comments: Solid story about the end of the world as Kendrick faces rapture. He talks about how everyone reacts before shifting to what he shouldn't be doing to what he's been doing to avoid all this as he's confronted with what he's done. Equally, this is all a veiled metaphor towards a relationship that's in an argument, with kendrick's s/o as the angel and kendrick staying the same.

Comments: A life story from, uh, meatloaf. A story of love, loss and regret, focused on his father, his best friend, and a lady he fell in love with.

They sing nice but they don't sing much in terms of wordplay or like, lyrical stuff.

Comments: Mona Lisa is a great storytelling song about a girl they call Mona Lisa, someone who's as beautiful as the painting, despite acting as a traitor to both our storytellers. A truly incredible tale, Wayne and Kendrick really knock it out of the park here.

Eothicsnorlax - 12th place - 5.0 / 10Comments: ...The fuck is this Eothic?
Like deadass man's out here ranting and raving about so many things it's whiplash. Like first he's like fuck rap and I was like ok sure this is fine, then he's like fuck you lazy ass and then I'm like dude?, then he's like fuck women and I'm like then he goes back to fuck rap like ?? Somebody's parent didn't love you.
Song completely rides on being controversial, and that does not make a good song.

Schiavetto - 2nd Place - 8.7 / 10
Comments: Surprising, we have a song here. Pretty well written song about black culture and how other cultures interact w/ it.
"Okay, everybody wanna be a nigga, but nobody wanna be a nigga when it's time to be a nigga"
Everyone wants to be part of the culture until it's time to step up and support. It took the recent BLM movements for huge changes to be forced and everyone to really come together for it. Further gone into in
"Asians like, "That's my nigga" Latins like, "That's my nigga" White folks like, "That's my nigga" 'Til it's time to die, bye, bye, nigga"
It's lines like these really help this song stand out from the rest.

Sp1derz - 1st place - 9.0 / 10
Comments: This is haunting. You really took the whole Larceny part of the category fr. Starting off, we have the story of Billy, a 13 yr old lad who grew up wanting to become hard and loses himself in the fight for power in the underworld. Immortal Technique uses this story to teach us about the society we live in and how it ruins us, and that there's a reason people want you to stay on the up on up.
Lines like "Devils used to be gods, angels that fell from the top There's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot" or "His whole world stopped, he couldn't even contemplate His corruption had successfully changed his fate"
Hit incredibly hard, and Immortal Technique's continual build up to this eventual release has you on your seat waiting for more
The story is frankly incredibly rapped over the beat, and just a banger ngl.

Chapter Seven - 10th Place - 7.6 / 10Comments: Songs actually not too bad honestly. Exo Kaiser needs to up his writing a bit, and I think his flow needs to feel a punchier on it. Lines like "You females don't fill me up, you let me down" or "I'm mentally 10 times better, I write this in advance" feels pretty awkward and do stand out a bit on listens.Especially given the topic of this song, I think he needs to feel a bit more forceful on the rap - really perform the emotion he's saying here.Featured Artists is good, and I love the production though!!

Comments: Piano Ballads! My Worst Enemy! My Best Friend! I enjoy this a lot more than I feel I should honestly. Gives me the feeling the girl's just playing piano at home and riffing off of it with what's on her mind right now. It's cute beyond belief.

Comments: This song's incredibly egotistic but it has a huge thing over your last song in the fact that's actually good. Headbangs pretty hard, and that autotuned chorus? Yum. It's a little screamy for the egotism honestly and tonal shifts are kinda jarring.

Comments: A GOOD ANTI WAR SONG A GOOD ANTI WAR SONG WE ARE IN IT
Elvya's Vocal performance is fucking great, backed up by those autotuned background vocals to create a beautiful harmony. That solo that comes in mid song? fuck yeah. The whole build of the song is great it's just ugh. It's good.

C733937123 - 13th Place - 5.0 / 10
Comments: Uhh okay so this is a fairly basic EDM song with really edgy visuals fsr. It's extremely loud and the lyrics are obviously not the main basis of the song. The drop it's based on doesn't really hit as much and most of the notes seem to garble into a mess of sounds that don't feel very coherent.

Comments: Like how everyone has taken "sounds like Maniac" to be "80's motifs" ngl.
It is what I was going w/ though.
I think the notes kinda need to be lower to give better harmony to our lead singer honestly. It's a quality songs but I wish more songs adhered to the note / vocal harmony.
