(Ok I'm a bit salty) (ok I'm very salty) (even so this is a good slot to pressure.) some early set up analysis: 20 is a good player count, and a general set up will feature around 10-12 hard town roles (excluding survivors + things that can potentially flip town). Multiball is internally confirmable if people get information grabbing roles over faction targetting roles; with investigative roles being more likely to pop up as red herrings. there's 2 strategies to the CS: scum hunting, and setup hunting. Given it's OC it's probably easier to do the second, because of how roles will be confirmable individually and lock up stuff. With no info / interaction, this thread will be locked to a low activity cycle past day 2 so it's imperative to push for interactions here, imo. Analysing setup over scumhunting in cses/semi-oses is a tarhalindur (or w/e the name is) standard tell. Now before spiderz calls me out on using fancy terms I don't actually know the meaning of, let me put this into real english. Town benefits from knowing the setup, sure, but a focus on the setup entirely over scumhunting is scummy for a couple of reasons. A) Role claims/roles =/= towny/scummy (I think schia once put a town os modposter in one of their cses and they got turboed for claiming modposter rip) - Therefore, town doesn't actually benefit all that much from learning the setup. Scum, however, can decide their nks/strategy based on it. B) Scum immediately has more knowledge than town, so any information they get about the setup can be more informed for them, and as such give them a greater benefit in terms of information compared to town. C) If scum can figure out a 'theme' or similar for the cs, their fakeclaims will be more believable. Town has no reason to fakeclaim, and needs no information to do so. For now, Unlynch Cayden (Oh woe of woes, why must I do this), and Lynch LittEleven. No this is not major, but this early on it's enough to put my lynch here pretty firmly. I appreciate the thought that went into making the post, but you've not applied the principle correctly. 1. Read it again. Do you see any semblence of attempting to find out how the set up functions, as opposed to providing information? I don't know if you can because I'd like you to point it out if so. 2. Can that post be applied to any existing Closed Setup and hold true? Yes, it can. 3. The tell is meant to prioritise people who ask questions about a set up instead of having an intent to scumhunt, but it deals with cases where there's established scumhunting which set up analysis detracts from. Do you see scumhunting 2 hours in to be something you can viably pull off with no interaction from 75% of the player list, which you could do without someone outright claiming scum? If not, it makes you look scummier for maliciously applying something without full knowledge of the tell. Please respond to the 1st point if you're town. |

Yes I see you attempting to find out how the setup funcions; you've told us your gameplan is such. Providing information to everyone here is slightly scumfavoured imo like I said, although ig you can argue it isn't. Please can you expand on point 2. Point 3 is you calling me out on using big terms without knowing what they mean  . Nevertheless, the point I was making isn't 'Oh look Litt isn't scumhunting!', it's 'Oh look Litt is planning not to scumhunt (throughout the game)'. We're just getting discussion going, and it's a fair lynch to put on at the start imo. Also you chainsawed cayden and lynched me. |

Maybe Cayden has changed drastically, but he’s not constantly silent/ lurking and that’s already a good sign. He seems to be at least somewhat active and it’s better than he was in the last game. It’s early on and I’m gonna try not to meta every word someone says, but Oc is a blessing and a curse. If you want to chat DM me on discord you can find me in the discord server bc im not copy pasting my username code.
We can discuss early reads and what meta is our favorite.
Also pushing lurkers shouldn’t be the first thing we do, but it shouldn’t be the last. Lurk Til lylo is a strat that we shouldn’t let scum get away with here, the less someone says the harder it is to get a read on them.
