re: this day not mattering, i will say like i think most people know exactly how much i hate the notion that D1s are useless/not worth it/etc - and in trials especially i do think people tend to underappreciate the discussion day bc there's no vote (which, in a community that already has problems producing legible earlygame content in vanilla without the aid of RVS, is uh, Not Great), but the fact of the matter is that from an interaction-purity standpoint, D1 is peak. discussion phase is a part of that, opportunity to get a fresh gloss on the roster/see how folks interact absent any mechanical context &i think too that one of the things that makes this format work so well on the server is that, for all the brevity through the voting stages, you're balancing that with density-of-content - so you end up with this quick-paced vanilla nightless gameplay despite how long the theme itself can run, and the push to get the most content/legibility out of each day is a part of that so i guess i'm of two minds here? bc otoh i don't think the current phase as it stands is really in a place that can be fully salvaged with the usual RQS/survey strats, but otoh i would v v much like to get ahead of the idea that there's nothing to be gleaned here Id say yea it wouldve been nice to have some form of discussion but the days been all 🦗 No one can be voted / NKed so no one bothers to participate much until then What kind of participation would you be looking for anyways |

oh yeah even further, let's say prod wasn't sk, then if winsy didn't vote with mafia he would have sk AND mafia to dodge kills from during the night which leads to a highly likely loss just by nature of how narrow the bg target pool is no matter what, it's always his best play to end game before the night phase happens for his own sake, and if he didn't then he'd just be risking a sabotage on himself. if that wasn't the case i obviously wouldn't have made the offer, but i want winsy to win cause he was helpful to me this game no, this is incorrect. I feel silly saying it but i never die tonight, as mafia and sk have to kill scum. bging me is pmuch a guarenteed survival here |
