What is NS:
A gamemode where you are allowed to use skills from a predetermined set of roles
Why is this bastard?
That list is near infinite (read below for banned actions);I will be pming you drawbacks to whatever you want to do.
Edit: when i mean near infinite i mean it. You can use an action that only occurs the following night, or something more traditional like cop
Game stuff
Phase Lengths: 72 hours day phase, 24 hours night phase
PLURALITY ALL DAYS
I will be enforcing a prodding activity enforcing system.
Players who dont post within 36 hours of their last post will recieve a prod on discord pms(if i know you) and forum pms.
I can give up to 3 prods, 4th prod means forcesub
not speaking during an entire dayphase means sub at twilight.
Minimum player count: 7
Maximum player count: 15
setup stuff:
depends on the amount of players, though will most likely be mafia vs town (3v8 or so perhaps)
Drawbacks will depend on:
setup,Amount of players alive,Amount of scum left,Types of actions used so far by you,And a few other stuff;
Some example drawbacks:
Your action will take place the following night
Your action will cause you to become self roleblocked the following night
You will die if the action fails
You cannot use any more actions for the rest of the game.
Depending on the strength of what you use will determine if any drawbacks will be required; feel free to PM me what drawback you want though
EDIT:example:
someone says they want to use a vig on someone, i tell them one of the following (not all of these, these are just examples of possible drawbacks)
use suibomber
only works on the next night
cant use anything else for the rest of the game
only works as gambit
only works as murderous

Banned actions (read this if u didnt read anything else please):
Revives
Mass targetting-things like psychotrooper and screamer etc arent banned cause those arent exactly mass targetting,its more so just to stop a roleblocker situation
Redirects
Anything that can cause night speaking
Anything that affects day (silence,voteless,unlynchable,dayvig)
Pretty sure i forgot something so please ask questions early
Edit:Anything that messes with reveals,not like anyone would do that but eh
EDIT:Host wont lie to you about what the drawbacks are etc.

0. I am the host of the game, and my word is law. I reserve the right to modkill/godkill or substitute anyone out those who break the rules.*
1 (a). You can only talk about the game in the game thread unless specified otherwise. Once you are dead you cannot talk to anyone about the game. Knowledge acquired after death cannot be transferred from a dead player to a living player.
1 (b). Outside influences (eg. Threatening, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, trust tells) are not tolerated and will be dealt with severely.
1 (c). Sportmanship should be shown. Salting, raging or ranting will not be tolerated. At the end of the day, mafia is played for fun. The general rule of thumb is attack the play, not the player.
2. Every user has a role PM. Role PMs may not be shown to other users at any time. All forms of sharing of role PMs is banned. If anyone finds a person encouraging others to share their role PMs or sharing role PMs themselves, please be sure to report it.
3 (a). You may vote to lynch users during the day by posting in bold "Vote: (user)" or "Lynch: (user)", unlynch users by using "Unvote: (user)" or "Unlynch: (user)" or not vote anyone by using "No Lynch". Votes will not be counted if they do not follow this format.
Unvotes when shifting are not required, but appreciated.
3 (b). Votes can be in shortform as long as I understand who you are voting.
4. Do not edit or delete your posts, if you need to correct something make another post.

6. Night talking is disallowed.
7. Extensions will be granted according to the situation, but don't count on them.
8. Actions should be sent during night phase through Forum Pm. If you do not have an action, please send an "idle". Failure of sending any actions during the night phase will result in the host prodding you.
9. I might not be in time to end day at deadline or hammer. In this case the game will enter into Twilight. You are allowed to post but not allowed to vote or unvote users.
10. Angleshooting is prohibited. This is included but not limited to submeta, hostmeta and using out of game information to form reads. Punishable by modkill/forcesub.*
11. Do not try to exploit any loopholes or circumvent the rules.
12. Play to win, dont throw shit.
