So do we even want to lynch today? In all seriousness, we probably should. It's not lynching so much as stumping. Granted, it does reduce the voting pool, which is a bad thing to do in a setup such as this one, but it prevents all the uncertainty that comes from a secret possible future nightkill. Lynch VigilanteVigorothImo seems a bit overly concerned with lynching, when lynching isn't even helpful to town if you aren't making an active effort to lynch scum. Additionally, it could easily be argued that VigilanteVigoroth has chainsawed already, even this early into the game. Right now he's my number one scum read.

This is the only iota of logic that has been utilized in this game so far. Does anyone else have anything they want to say? The REAL conversation for now should be whether or not to NL; once we settle this, I believe, we can continue onto the detail of whom we should target. I, for one, would argue that lynching is a good thing to do; the individual will continue to live as a treestump to guide us with their words of advice if they're a tree, and if by some potshot of luck they're arsonist (unlikely D1, both arsonists can work in tandem), all the more information from reactions for later.
So really the main benefit of a D1 lynch is information; both from peoples' reactions, and from the treestump's position of focus and confirmed-town clarity.

If we do determine to lynch someone, I'd say @benbob700k, at least for the time being. @slpashattacklol kind of chainsaw defended him there, which in all likelihood was just nepotism, but he later seemingly recanted it by unlynching me. In addition, to be honest, @benbob700k's inexperience may actually become a barrier to thoughtful discussion during later portions of the game, assuming he's town. From a position of town-confirmed clarity, we would take his thoughts and feelings with much more seriousness than we would he were just another player, a position wherein we may dismiss him as being that inexperienced player with nothing to offer.
Not to say lynching him is a sympathetic thing to do, though. And if he's arsonist, hey, we have reads on his associates as well by then.
All opposed please so manifest by the uplifted hand.

Im not completely opposed to lynching. I am more against dumb lynching. Nothing benbob has done so far has yelled scum to me. Then again no one else really looks scummy to me rn |

Honestly the scummier people imo are the ones that are saying its ok if trees get chopped down (lynched)... Actually micc... how do trees lynch trees? Its not like trees can wield axes (that would be so cool yet scary at the same time.) Are us trees somehow renting a lumberjack to cut down a tree or something? Idk its weird.
Another thought occured to me. but i will keep that thought to myself til D3
