Welcome to PSAnon Game 25, also known as Colourful Mafia! As you can tell by the title, this is a "Semi-Invitational Alias No PL OC”. Unless you’re TWD, you probably don’t know what a lot of these words mean, so I’ll explain them to you!
Semi-Invitational: I’m going to be inviting players to the game. If I don’t invite you, then you can still participate in the game! (You’ll see how once I explain more
) I may even sub you in if I need one!Alias: There is going to be a list of “aliases” given at the beginning of the game. Each alias corresponds to an player in the game. (Though there will be extras to throw you off!) If you want to use an action, you have to use it on an alias, instead of a player. (Unless your role specifies otherwise!)
No PL: There will be no list of players given out at the beginning of the game. This means that all players, ones in and not in the game, are able to talk in the thread. Have fun throwing people off if you’re not in the game!
OC: Stands for “Outside Contact”. This means you are able to talk outside of the game thread! This can include PMs on the forums, the Mafia room, and Skype, for example. This means I, the host, won’t know everything that’s going on, so you should PM me to let me know what’s up every once in a while!
So now that I’ve explained what everything is, here’s the rules!
1. Feel free to discuss the game while alive, but once you die, please do not discuss the game with anyone. If you wish to sub in, try to keep up with the game.
2. This game will start on Day 0. There will be no exchanging of role PMs until Day 1 starts. Votes are not valid on Day 0, but feel free to vote if you wish. Once again, no exchanging of roles may be done on Day 0. If anyone else does so, please report it.
3. You may paste things that the host tells you, but be aware that what I say might not necessarily be the truth. You can fake logs; ask the host for assistance if you would like it. Screenshots are disallowed. Do not impersonate the host or other players.
4. Deadlines will always be 48 hours if night, and 72 if day, with the exception of Day 0, which may be slightly longer or shorter.
4.5. If I am busy, the cycle may go for a bit longer. During nights, I will try to post deadline, and you will be allowed to send actions until I post so, regardless of if it's late or not. On days, the deadline for votes remains the same, regardless of whether I’m late or not.
5. Stealth lynching will be allowed if you can pull it off. PM the host for help, though they won't delay the deadline if your vote is absent.
6. To vote you must bold your vote and post “Lynch <person>” or "Vote <person>". You may choose to vote “No Lynch” as well, and any vote towards the alias of a dead user or an alias not in the game will not be counted. If you would like to vote for nothing but have already voted for something, type unvote in your new post, and, if applicable, say who you are voting, I will not count your new vote unless you unvote.
6.5. This game follows modified plurality, in that the person with the most votes at deadline is lynched, regardless of if it's majority or not. Also, there are no hammers, and if there is a tie, nobody is lynched.
7. You can PM ajhockeystar on the server with your action(s) if you'd like. If you are choosing to not use your action, you must state that you are idling so I know you aren't inactive.
8. It would be wonderful if I have an idea of what is going on, so don’t feel afraid to talk to me about your thoughts on the game, though I cannot correctly confirm nor deny any thoughts you have bouncing around in your head. I may also approach you every now and then and ask for your thoughts; if you are busy when I ask just say so and I will leave you alone. Logs of important private messages would be appreciated too, the more I know, the more I can include in the Postgame!
9. If your action fails, you will only be notified of so if you are an information role, or if your role specifies otherwise.
10. ajhockeystar has the timezone EDT. If you happen to catch me on the server and have any pertaining queries, I might be able to provide an instant reply, unless I am away. If you have any further queries, please feel free to forum PM ajhockeystar, although take note that you may have to wait for a reply.
11. Be active. Make sure you are active. You will lose if you are not active, and your inactivity will hurt your faction. Nobody likes an inactive player. If I feel that you can become more active, I will send you a warning PM. However, if I do not feel you will become active even if we give you a warning, I may sub you out without warning. Please be active.
11.5. If you are subbed out though, you may not participate in the game anymore.
12. As this is an OC game, PS usage is mandatory. You will be subbed out if you are not at least fairly active in the Mafia room.
13. No editing posts. I don't care, no editing posts.
14. Screenshotting of all forms is banned. If anyone finds a person encouraging others to take screenshots or taking screenshots and showing other people, please be sure to report it.
